California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger didn't make fellow actor Clint Eastwood's day when he opted not to renew his term on the state parks commission, reports the Los Angeles Times. The guvernator said it's time to give others a chance to serve. “They make changes, and that’s their prerogative,” said Eastwood, who was appointed in 2001. “It’s not like I need a day job.”

Eastwood said there are no hard feelings between him and Schwarzenegger, but he has linked his removal to his opposition to a planned six-lane toll road. “You’re not going to get people who are interested in state parks who want to build freeways through state parks,” he pointed out. Eastwood wasn’t alone; Schwarzenegger also didn't renew brother-in-law Bobby Shriver's term on the panel. (More California stories.)
