The Phoenix Suns may want Amaré Stoudemire to be involved in double technical fouls more often, after last night's 110-104 win over the New Jersey Nets, reports the Arizona Republic. Stoudemire and Vince Carter were called for technicals after getting mixed up in the third quarter. Stoudemire exploded afterward, scoring eight of his 33 points in the next two minutes and finishing the quarter with 16 points.

The Nets cut the deficit to 3 in the fourth, but Steve Nash hit a pair of 3-pointers to make the Suns comfortable again. Nash hadn't hit a shot until the 3-pointers, but did finish with 11 assists. The Suns fouled the Nets 44 times, but held New Jersey to 44% shooting. Grant Hill sat out for the Suns with a pulled groin and right wrist sprain. Leandro Barbosa started in place of Hill and had 21 points. (More NBA stories.)
