With a 119-112 victory over Golden State, the Nuggets grabbed sole possession of the West's eighth playoff spot for the first time since February, and secured the advantage in any potential tiebreaker. Still, "we're not out of the woods, baby,'' Denver coach George Karl reminded the Rocky Mountain News. But Allen Iverson is confident, despite his lackluster performance last night.

It was Iverson's teammates Kenyon Marting, Carmelo Anthony and JR Smith who stepped up with 35, 25, and 20 points each, to bring their season record against the Warriors to 2-1. Baron Davis led Golden State's scoring with 28 points, and Andris Biedrins hauled in 17 rebounds, but the team's 40% shooting ultimately tanked every rally attempt. (More NBA stories.)
