Toronto capitalized on 17 straight baskets in the first quarter, then went cold, trailing at halftime, 63-58. T.J. Ford put the game out of reach late. Also in hoops:

  • Battling to maintain the East's eighth seed, Atlanta rode a monster 73-point first half to subdue Memphis, 116-99
  • Keeping pace 2.5 games back, Indiana easily flummoxed Miami, 105-85, in Jermaine O'Neal's return from a 33-game injury-related absence.
