The latest woman to accuse Donald Trump of forcing himself on her is People writer Natasha Stoynoff, who covered the magazine's Trump beat for years and has shared what the magazine calls a "harrowing story" of being attacked during an interview in 2005. She says she was interviewing Trump and Melania—who was pregnant—about their first year of marriage when Trump offered to give her a tour of his Mar-a-Lago mansion and show her a "tremendous" room while Melania was changing. "We walked into that room alone, and Trump shut the door behind us," she writes. "I turned around, and within seconds he was pushing me against the wall and forcing his tongue down my throat."
Stoynoff says she is a "tall, strapping girl who grew up wrestling two giant brothers," but Trump was still able to throw her off balance. She says she was very relieved when Trump's butler burst in moments later. She says that as they waited for Melania, Trump told her, "You know we're going to have an affair, don't you?" Stoynoff writes that she went on to interview the couple—feeling "utterly violated"—and then asked to be taken off the Trump beat. She says a colleague urged her to report the attack, but she decided to try to forget it had ever happened, fearing that "a famous, powerful, wealthy man could and would discredit and destroy me."
