Trump Pick Accused of Plagiarism Won't Take Job

Conservative commentator Monica Crowley will be looking for work outside the Trump White House, announcing Monday that she will back away from a top communications job in the wake of reports that she plagiarized liberally in her 2000 dissertation and 2012 book What the (Bleep) Just Happened? "After much reflection I have decided to remain in New York to pursue other opportunities and will not be taking a position in the incoming administration," she said in a statement obtained by the Washington Times. "I greatly appreciate being asked to be part of President-elect Trump’s team and I will continue to enthusiastically support him and his agenda for American renewal." In the wake of the reports, publisher HarperCollins pulled the book, notes the AP. Crowley was to have served as the National Security Council's communications director. (More Monica Crowley stories.)
