When Johnny Crow first discovered music, he viewed it as a kind of therapy. "It was amazing how it made me feel," the 16-year-old says. "It made that sadness go away." So when Johnny's 49-year-old father died of a heart attack in April despite Johnny's attempts at CPR, the Michigan teen was in need of music more than ever. In a final gift from his late father, that's exactly what he got. During a surprise visit to a music store in Port Huron on his 16th birthday Wednesday, Johnny learned his father had ordered him a new Dean Razorback guitar in January, months before he passed away, reports the Port Huron Times Herald. The gift brought Johnny to tears, along with others who viewed the now-viral video of its delivery.

Johnny's 20-year-old sister tells the Huffington Post that "Johnny has been wanting this guitar for a while" and "would joke with my dad about getting it in the future." In a Facebook post accompanying the video, which has been viewed 9 million times, she adds she "couldn't believe it" when store employees told her their father had purchased it. She kept the secret until Johnny's birthday arrived, then drove him to the store. There, employees brought out a large case before revealing the shiny guitar within. "I was definitely overjoyed that my father gave me one last thing to remember him by," says Johnny. "I know a lot of kids don't get that." He adds the response to the video has been touching: "It's good to feel you're not alone in this." (More uplifting news stories.)
