Kim Kardashian's company is being sued for $100 million over—what else?—a selfie product. Hooshmand Harooni says Kimsaprincess Inc. is using the technology he patented in 2013 and licensed to a company called Snap Light. The tech is basically a lighted smartphone case that helps users take better selfies, and Kardashian's company has partnered with LuMee, the makers of a similar product. Kardashian is often seen using and promoting LuMee (even with the likes of Hillary Clinton), for which she gets a cut of the profits, and Harooni says she owes him some of that money because LuMee has used his patented technology to take sales away from Snap Light.

Snap Light's founder, Bardia Rahim, also weighed in with a statement, per the BBC: LuMee "created doubt in our technological and operational integrity" by launching its own version of the same product. He called the move illegal, "deceptive and unethical," and "un-American." Harooni wants a court to stop Kardashian from promoting LuMee, and he's also suing Urban Outfitters for selling it, per the Hollywood Reporter. But a Kardashian rep tells TMZ the patent infringement lawsuit "has no merit and is just another attempted shakedown. Kim has done absolutely nothing wrong." (More Kim Kardashian stories.)
