The Boston Bruins were left for dead earlier this week, but now have a chance to eliminate the top-seeded Montreal Canadiens Monday, reports the Associated Press. The Bruins, who trailed 3-1 in the series, stayed alive last night when Marco Sturm scored with 2:37 left for a 5-4 win to force a Game 7. Sturm scored off his own rebound when rookie goalie Carey Price failed to control the puck.

Price has allowed four goals in the third period two games in a row. Thursday, the score was 1-1 after two periods before Boston scored four goals in the third to get back into the series. Five of the six games in the series have been decided by one goal. The win keeps alive the Bruins hopes for winning a playoff series for the first time in nine years. Phil Kessel gave the Bruins their first lead of the game with a goal with 4:15 left in the third period. (More NHL stories.)
