The report is thin, but TMZ says Bill Cosby's 44-year-old daughter Ensa died Friday in Massachusetts; a rep for Cosby confirms this to the AP and says she died from renal disease. TMZ had reported she was in poor health, with kidney issues that potentially had her on the transplant list. By way of biography, it reports that she has been a champion of her father in the face the sexual assault allegations against him, quoting her as writing the following in 2017: "I strongly believe my father is innocent of the crimes alleged against him and I believe that racism has played a big role in all aspects of this scandal."
Cosby spokesman Andrew Wyatt adds, "Please keep the Cosby family in your prayers and give them peace at this time." Cosby's son, Ennis, was fatally shot in 1997. (More Bill Cosby stories.)
