The fate of Dreamers in the US is still up in the air, but at the Oscars Sunday night, two presenters offered their support to this vulnerable group. Lupita Nyong'o and Kumail Nanjiani took the stage to offer the award for best production design, with Nyong'o deadpanning, "We are the two actors you keep hearing about but whose names you have trouble pronouncing." They also both noted their countries of origin—Kenya for Nyong'o, Pakistan "and Iowa" for Nanjiani. "Like everyone in this room, and everyone watching at home, we are dreamers. We grew up dreaming of one day working in movies," Nyong'o said, per ABC News. "Dreams are the foundation of Hollywood. And dreams are the foundation of America." Added Nanjiani: "To all the Dreamers out there—we stand with you." (More Oscars stories.)
