Cops: Man Mowed Someone Else's Grass While Drunk
Barry Ridge.   (Johnson County Sheriff's Department)

Roughly a month ago, an Indiana man's Huskee lawn tractor was impounded. The reason? Barry Ridge of Franklin was arrested April 8 in a Kroger parking lot while allegedly driving it drunk. Police say it wasn't a one-time occurrence. The Indianapolis Star reports the 46-year-old was pulled over after 5pm Saturday while riding atop a red mower. Police had been called by a local resident who said Ridge had started mowing their lawn; the Indy Channel reports the man told Ridge to exit his property.

Police who located Ridge driving the mower down County Road 100 North reportedly noted "glassy" eyes and had him take a Breathalyzer test, which registered a BAC of 0.189. Ridge allegedly said he'd consumed three beers an hour prior. The mower was impounded like the first time, and he was arrested on a preliminary charge of OWI. The Star notes Ridge has yet to stand trial for the April incident. (More weird crimes stories.)
