Tesla Sells Out of Its $1,500 Surfboards
Tesla briefly sold surfboards.   (Tesla)

Tesla offered an unusual item over the weekend on its website: a surfboard. Branded just like the cars in sleek black and red with the electric car company's unmistakable logo, the $1,500 item was available Saturday until all 200 limited edition boards flew off the virtual shelves and were gone in less than a day. However, you may still be able to get one if you're willing to shell out several times the sticker price. CNET reports the boards have already popped up on eBay, where they're listed for as much as $5,000. The Tesla site notes the carbon fiber boards were designed through a collaboration with surfboard shaper Matt "Mayhem" Biolos, and can be comfortably accommodated in a Tesla Model S, X or 3.
