Now cops are getting in on the NFL's national anthem spat, Sports Illustrated reports. Two Florida police unions, in Palm Beach County and Broward County, posted Facebook notices urging officers to not buy or refund tickets to a Miami Dolphins game after two players kneeled and one raised a fist during the anthem at Thursday night's preseason game. "This organization obviously DOES NOT honor First Responders and the dangers they put themselves in every day," the post reads.

Dolphins players Albert Wilson and Kenny Stills took a knee and Robert Quinn raised a fist before the game. Following their protest, the NFL said its anthem policy (that players stand during the anthem or stay in the locker room) is on hold pending talks with the players association. (More NFL stories.)
