Two people are dead after a shooting at a grocery store on the outskirts of Louisville, Ky., Wednesday afternoon, LEX 18 reports. Witnesses tell WAVE 3 they heard two bursts of gunfire inside the Kroger in Jeffersontown; then moments later saw two men shooting at each other in the parking lot. A passerby with EMT training saw a woman get hit as he was calling 911 and tried to help her, but "there was nothing I could do," he tells the station. Police say one person was fatally shot inside the store and one was shot outside. At least one suspect is in custody. There was also a shooting at a Kansas City, Mo., grocery store Tuesday night that left an adult and a child injured, KSHB reports. (More shooting stories.)
