A two-year-old girl in Wales has already received a pile of Christmas presents, though she'll have to wait 13 years to open the last of them. Owen Williams of Barry opened his door Monday to find the daughter of his elderly neighbor, who died recently in his mid-80s, standing there with a "plastic sack" containing 14 wrapped gifts. "She said it was everything her dad had put away for Cadi," Williams' two-year-old daughter, whom neighbor Ken Watson "doted" on, Williams tells the BBC. He says both he and his wife "started to tear up" at the surprise delivery.
"I was speechless. Gobsmacked," he adds, per CTV News. After opening one gift—a book by French writer-artist Tomi Ungerer, who has offered to sign it—Cadi has enough to last until she's 15. Watson's daughter actually described the presents as "for the next few Christmases," Williams tells CNN. But after polling 67,000 Twitter users, he's going with the 69% majority, who thought the family should open one gift per year. "It'll be our way of remembering an immensely generous gentleman—our new Christmas tradition," Williams says. "It's the real spirit of Christmas, don't you think?"
