What political moratorium? Kanye West's New Year's Day tweets were decidedly politically flavored, beginning with "Trump all day," and continuing, "Just so in 2019 you know where I stand." He tweeted a series of dragon emojis, which USA Today sees as hearkening back to an April tweet in which the rapper said he and Trump share "dragon energy." Some of what followed:
- "They will not program me" (here)
- "Blacks are 90% Democrats That sounds like control to me" (here)
- "We will change the world. God is on my side. I am a Christian. I am a tax payer. I am myself. God is with us." (here)
- "Free thought" (here)
- "2024" (here)
- "From now on I’m performing with my mutherf---ing hat on [then more dragon emojis] (here)
- "One of my favorite of many things about what the Trump hat represents to me is that people can’t tell me what to do because I’m black" (here)
