A police department in Washington state grabbed a tactical shield and stormed a local ballfield to engage "a group of local hostiles" as a major winter storm blanketed the area, reports the AP. Members of the Duvall Police Department posted a Facebook video Monday of officers responding to a report of suspicious characters armed with "improvised projectiles made out of fluffy snow." Officers proclaimed there would be "no mercy" as they advanced behind the shield, but they were "immediately out-gunned" by a group of youngsters who hurled snowballs at them. The officers retreated, and "[apologized] to Officer Clark who was left behind as they tactically retreated." (More snowball fight stories.)
