A $540 cookie purchase has warmed Girl Scouts in more ways than one. After two hours on Friday of standing in 34-degree cold outside a store in Greenville, SC, Troop 1574 still had plenty of cookies to sell, reports Greenville News. That's when a man who'd already purchased seven boxes returned to clean them out. "He came back to the table and said, 'Pack up all of your cookies. I'm taking them all so y'all can get out of this cold,'" Kayla Dillard, mother of a troop member, writes on Facebook. "The girls were very excited and thankful," she adds, per CNN.

The kind act not only meant the girls got out of the cold, but further surpassed their goal to sell 3,200 boxes of cookies. According to Dillard, the troop has now sold 5,000. "We actually had to cancel some of our booth sales this weekend because we didn't have cookies to sell ... He purchased them all," she tells CBS News of the unidentified man, who posed for a photo. Dillard says he planned to take the cookies to several businesses he owns. He was "just a very kind, sincere and humble man who loves children," she adds. "We stood there in shock." (Too bad no one had the munchies.)
