Covington Teen Sues CNN: Tweets Aren't Truth

Nicholas Sandmann's promised lawsuit against CNN has arrived in federal court in Kentucky. For allegedly being painted as the "face of an unruly hate mob," the Covington Catholic High School student who stood face to face with Native American activist Nathan Phillips during a January incident at the Lincoln Memorial seeks $275 million in compensatory and punitive damages. His suit lists four CNN broadcasts and nine online articles as "defamatory" or falsely accusing the 16-year-old and his classmates of "engaging in racist conduct," per Reuters. CNN "took something straight off Twitter that had been in essence manipulated so that it told one story and they reported it as the truth," a lawyer tells Fox News.
