Man's Wife Turns Up Dead. Not Unlike His First Wife

A North Carolina man whose wife turned up dead this week—and whose first wife died of an apparent accident in 2006—is now being sought for first-degree murder, CNN reports. Authorities say Lynn Keel, 57, is considered armed and dangerous and may be driving a 1998 Stepside Chevy pickup, per WTVD. Investigators initially questioned him as a person of interest after Diana Alejandra Keel, 38, vanished from their Nashville home Saturday and was found decomposing in the woods Tuesday near Leggett. "There is definitely foul play involved," said Nash County Sheriff Keith Stone, per People. "We're just going to take it step-by-step and take our time with the investigation."

Stone also said authorities had responded to the Keel home over "small domestic issues" and "communication problems" but didn't elaborate, per WRAL. As for Lynn's first wife, Elizabeth Edward Keel reportedly fell and hit her forehead on the concrete steps of her residence—the same one Diana Keel disappeared from—at a time when Lynn was home. She died of blunt force trauma and authorities ruled her death accidental. Now, with police on alert for Lynn's pickup, family members are reeling from Diana's sudden death. "This is insane," tweeted her daughter with photos of the two together. "You see this happen to everyone else and you don't think it's ever happen to you." Diana also leaves behind a 10-year-old son.
