The music has tragically ended for up-and-coming British band Her's days after it was featured by BBC Music. Duo Stephen Fitzpatrick, 24, and Audun Laading, 25, were killed in a car crash 75 miles west of Phoenix, Ariz., early Wednesday along with their manager, Trevor Engelbrektson, according to record label Heist or Hit. The Liverpool band was traveling from Phoenix to a sold-out show in Santa Ana, Calif.—one of 19 on its second North American tour, per the Guardian. The AP reports three people in a van were killed in a head-on collision with a truck, whose driver also died. The Arizona Department of Public Safety says information on the Interstate 10 crash will be slow to come as a result of "almost all evidence being lost in the fire," per the BBC. Both vehicles "burst into flames upon impact," reports Sky News.

Fitzpatrick of Barrow-in-Furness and Laading of Norway had met as students at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. They graduated with music degrees in 2016 and released their debut album, Invitation To Her's, last year. "As humans, they were warm, gentle and hilarious" and "loved one another like brothers," Heist or Hit says in a statement. "Musically, Her's were astonishing. An aptitude for melody, fun, and entertainment combined with a complexity that was as sophisticated as it was stylish." A day before the BBC shared an acoustic performance during the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, the band wrote on Facebook that it was "almost home time for the lads," whose "US tour has gone swimmingly so far." (Another up-and-coming British band perished in a freak car accident.)
