A double tragedy in Germany: Authorities say Natalia Fileva, one of Russia's richest women, died along with the pilot and another passenger when a small plane crashed into an asparagus field near Frankfurt on Sunday, the New York Times reports. A police car rushing to the scene then collided head-on with another vehicle. Three police officers were seriously injured and two people in the other vehicle were killed, reports DPA. Fileva, 55, was the majority shareholder in S7, also known as Siberia Airlines and had an estimated net worth of $600 million, the BBC reports. Authorities say the six-seater Epic aircraft flew to Germany from Cannes, France, the AP reports. The S7 Group, which described Fileva's death as "an irreparable loss," said Russian experts would assist the crash investigation. (More plane crash stories.)
