It's been a year and a half since Tom Petty died, and while Variety reports a couple of his music compilations have since made their way to the public, a family feud may hold up further releases. Per court documents obtained by the Blast, Petty's widow, Dana York Petty, filed a petition Tuesday asking for a court-appointed manager to handle the day-to-day business of Petty's estate, giving her and Petty's two daughters from a previous marriage, Adria and Annakim, equal authority, and requiring consensus from all three women on any "significant decisions." York Petty says in her filing that Adria Petty has so far been stymying things for the estate by waffling on some decisions and making other decisions without consulting all the appropriate parties.

York Petty notes in her petition that although she "did everything in her power to treat Adria and Annakim as family, sadly, they, and in particular Adria, have repeatedly demonstrated their resentment over their father's love of [York Petty] and her role in his life." Per TMZ, York Petty also alleges Adria Petty wrote a rant-filled email to the surviving members of her father's band The Heartbreakers, which reportedly read, "What I don't have the temperament for is having my entire life raped. Being disparaged. My dad being disgraced. And being surrounded by selfish, unreliable people and drug addicts." Variety notes Adria Petty filed her own petition Tuesday asking for control of her father's song catalog. Yahoo Entertainment cites an Instagram post put up Wednesday by Annakim Petty, in which she writes, "We don't sell out," adding in the comments the hashtags #igobymyfatherswill and #notmz (that's No TMZ, apparently in reference to the aforementioned story).
