A passenger jumped from an airliner onto the tarmac after his flight landed in Phoenix, police say, after officers met the flight at the crew's request. The man, 25, had been disruptive on the Friday flight from Minneapolis, the Arizona Republic reports. He had been randomly touching the faces of other passengers, swearing at them, and spraying something from a bottle on them, police were told. A woman on the plane said that when the plane landed, the crew asked the 157 passengers to stay in their seats while law enforcement officers arrived. When the plane stopped at the gate at Sky Harbor Airport, she said, "he tried to make a run for it," hitting passengers on the way. Police said they don't know what was in the bottle. Charges are pending against the man, police said, who was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries suffered when he jumped. (More airline passengers stories.)
