A Navy cruiser and a Russian destroyer nearly collided Friday in the Philippine Sea, sparking an instant blame game between the two nations. Now for another issue: sunbathing? Navy video of the incident appears to show shirtless Russian sailors soaking up rays on a rear helipad as the crisis unfolded, Business Insider reports. The ships were close enough for US sailors to see what NPR calls "an odd sight," but the video is a little blurry, so who knows. Naturally the Internet is responding, with one Military.com reader calling it a "steel beach picnic." A tweet sums up the US and Russian finger-pointing, then adds, "Russian sailors: The breeze is blowing, the sun is shining. Time for a suntan, da?" (More Russia stories.)
