Nine months into his sentence, Bill Cosby is adapting well to prison life, his spokesman said—giving speeches, working out, and meeting one-on-one with inmates. Cosby is serving a three to 10 years at a maximum security prison near Philadelphia for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004. “He’s extremely popular” with inmates, Andrew Wyatt said, per USA Today. The 81-year-old former actor and comedian is getting in shape physically, Wyatt said, and does 300 leg lifts and crunches. "He's down to 187 pounds," the spokesperson said.
"One group that he consistently speaks to is a group called 'Man Up.'" Wyatt told USA Today. "These are guys that are going to be paroled in a few months ... and they are afraid of going back to (their) communities." Fellow inmates see Cosby "as their father figure. To them, he is America's dad," Wyatt said. Cosby referred to himself as "America's Dad" in a Father's Day tweet that drew criticism. (More Bill Cosby stories.)
