Text messages have emerged in the Kevin Spacey groping trial, and they're pretty graphic. Newly released court documents include screenshots of texts sent between an 18-year-old busboy and his girlfriend, reports Fox News. Among the lines the busboy texted to her, referring to Spacey: "He pulled my zipper down," "he reached down my pants," "He's grabbed my d--- like eight times," and "seriously, help." The busboy alleges that Spacey repeatedly groped him late one night at a Nantucket bar in July 2016, and the screenshots reveal his apparent growing alarm about what was going on. He also says the actor invited him to his house.
Spacey's defense team maintains the screenshots are "incomplete" and present a distorted picture, per CNN. "The screenshots produced by the Commonwealth suggest that additional communications on (the accuser's) cell phone will reveal the truth: (the accuser) concocted and exaggerated elements of a story to impress his friends," writes attorney Alan Jackson. What's more, Spacey's legal team says the busboy continued to interact with Spacey all the while. The accuser's phone could indeed reveal more, but there's a big problem: It's missing. Police say they returned it, but the busboy and his family say they have no recollection of receiving it and can't find it. (More on that here.)
