Jay Inslee may need to speak up more in the next debate. An interesting Washington Post breakdown of Wednesday night's go-round found that Inslee spoke the least of all 10 candidates during the two-hour debate. Cory Booker, on the other hand, spoke the most. The breakdown:

- Elizabeth Warren, 9.3 minutes
- Julian Castro, 8.8 minutes
- Amy Klobuchar, 8.5 minutes
- Tim Ryan, 7.7 minutes
- Tulsi Gabbard, 6.6 minutes
- John Delaney, 6.6 minutes
- Bill de Blasio, 5.6 minutes
- Jay Inslee, 5.0 minutes
Post-debate analysis continues to pour in, but one common consensus is that Castro, who served as HUD secretary under Barack Obama, was one of the winners, if not the winner. Axios, for example, has him as the "biggest winner" given his authority on the immigration question, and it has O'Rourke as the "biggest loser," in part because he kept letting others interrupt him. Booker and Warren also are getting high marks, with Matthew Yglesias at Vox writing that Warren in particular showed enough "political savvy" to demonstrate she could compete with President Trump in a general election.
