An autopsy has been completed on Jeffrey Epstein—but the cause of death is still "pending further information," according to the New York City medical examiner's office. Barbara Sampson, the city’s chief medical examiner, says a private pathologist observed the autopsy Sunday at the request of the financier's representatives, which is "routine practice," the New York Daily News reports. Epstein, who was facing up to 45 years in prison on sex trafficking and conspiracy charges, was found dead in his cell at Manhattan's Metropolitan Correctional Center on Saturday. Sources tell NBC that investigators have found no sign of foul play and suicide remains the presumed cause of death, although President Trump has been promoting conspiracy theories that blame the Clintons.
