Things were peaceful in Hong Kong Friday, though protesters found a way to send a message. They formed a human chain that stretched nearly 30 miles across the city, reports the Guardian. The unusual protest was actually an homage to a famous protest 30 years ago by residents of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania who were chafing against Soviet rule. That protest became known as the Baltic Way. Also on Friday, accountants led a march in the city, following in the footsteps of lawyers, teachers, and medical workers who have done so previously, notes NBC News. (More Hong Kong stories.)
