A United Airlines jet had to make an emergency landing in Denver Wednesday night, but the emergency in question only applied to one person. Flight 1554 from Washington, DC, to San Francisco made the unscheduled stop "to assist a customer who was in the lavatory when the lavatory door became inoperative," an airline spokesperson tells NBC News. That's right: A passenger got stuck in the tiny airplane bathroom. Passengers tell CBS News she was trapped about an hour, and was embarrassed but unharmed when five firefighters and a mechanic eventually boarded the plane and freed her. United says it is apologizing to her, and the rest of those on board at the time. (More United Airlines stories.)
