Mathew Knowles, father of singers Beyonce and Solange, has revealed that he has been diagnosed with breast cancer. In an interview that will air Wednesday, the 67-year-old spoke to Good Morning America's Michael Strahan about living with the disease and breaking the news to his family, People reports. Knowles managed Destiny's Child in the 1990s. After the group split up, he managed Beyonce's solo career until 2011. CNN notes that breast cancer is a lot more common in women but far from unheard of in men. According to the CDC, around 245,000 cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in women in the US every year and 2,200 in men. Around 460 men and 41,000 women die from the disease in the US every year.
