A New Jersey parent was just a little surprised to look through her child's Halloween-event haul and find what looked like heroin. "I looked at it twice and I said, 'Wait, this is not candy,'" she tells WPVI. Seems the plastic baggie with a paper inside came from a Trunk or Treat event at the Family Success Center in Middle Township. Luckily, police say the child didn't eat the substance, per NJ.com, but cops did put out a Nixle alert Saturday telling parents "to check their children’s candy bags thoroughly and contact the police if they discover anything suspicious, harmful or out of the ordinary." Authorities are yet to test the suspected drug. (More Halloween stories.)
