"Am I on the right track? So much of the route is covered with snow," says a man who was live-streaming his attempt at summiting Mount Fuji—a man whose body Japanese police on Wednesday said they may have found. The AP reports officials were notified after those watching his video, titled "Let's Go to Snowy Mt. Fuji," saw him apparently fall on Monday afternoon. "Oh, this place is slippery, getting dangerous," the man, who identified himself as TEDZU, says in the video, which shows him above the clouds; the Japan Times describes him as at the peak. "I'm trying to walk by the rocks, yes, rocks. It's a steep downhill." Then an ominous "Wait! I'm slipping."

That slide is audible, and then the scene speeds up, with the video capturing him sliding feet-up and losing his hiking sticks. It then stops. CNN reports the body was found Wednesday afternoon at about 9,800 feet. Mount Fuji's hiking season ended Sept. 10, with police warning that the snow brings dangerous conditions. The Times reports the upper trails on the peak are closed at that time and climbing "is prohibited in principle," though there is no law barring it. (Meanwhile, the ultimate climbing record was smashed on Tuesday.)
