R. Kelly had an unusual reason for skipping a court hearing Wednesday—toe trouble. The singer's attorney, Steven Greenberg, told a judge at a federal courthouse in Chicago that Kelly had an infected toe and was worried that it would be stepped on during his journey to the court from the Metropolitan Correctional Center, where he is being held on numerous sexual assault charges. Greenberg said Kelly has lost a toenail due to the infection and is now wearing a walking boot. The Chicago Tribune reports that the status hearing was "otherwise uneventful." (Greenberg recently complained that only one girlfriend at a time was allowed to visit Kelly.)
