Fugitive Surrenders After 'Awesome' Mugshot Edit
Brandon Conti is a fugitive no more.   (Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office)

Every Wednesday, Illinois' Kankakee County Sheriff's Office posts a photo of a fugitive on Facebook. But it's not every "Warrant Wednesday" that the person pictured responds. "I'm appalled ... Where's my costume?” Brandon Conti commented on this week's post, which showed his own mugshot, per WBBM. "Done!" the sheriff’s office responded after editing Conti into a Scoops Ahoy uniform, in a nod to Netflix's Stranger Things.

Conti was apparently impressed. "That's awesome … I'll be there before noon please have the paperwork done and ready," wrote the 25-year-old, who was wanted for missing a Sept. 30 court date relating to a DUI conviction, per the Daily Journal. Conti did indeed surrender later Wednesday, police confirmed. He was then released on bail, per the New York Post. (More Halloween stories.)
