Cops: Woman Escapes Assault by Severing Penis
Dennis Glenn Slaton   (Greenville County Sheriff's Office)

A registered sex offender is out on bond after allegedly assaulting a woman, who police say defended herself by severing his penis with her teeth. A naked woman fled a house in Greenville, SC, on Aug. 8 before finding help at a Waffle House, where employees gave her clothes, reports the Greenville News. Police then arrived at the home of 61-year-old Dennis Glenn Slaton, who has prior criminal convictions for aggravated sodomy, attempt to commit rape, and voyeurism, and has been a registered sex offender since 1989. Inside, officers found that Slaton had a severed penis and a stab wound to the butt, according to an incident report from the Greenville County Sheriff's Office. Slaton tells per WSPA that he was in intensive care for more than a month.

"It was pretty bad, pretty tragic, what happened to me," Slaton tells the News. The incident report says Slaton gave the woman a ride at a gas station, then pulled out a knife and drove to his house, where he sexually assaulted the woman and threatened to kill her. The woman fought back, biting off Slaton's penis and stabbing him him in the butt with his own knife, the report reads, per WSPA. Charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping, Slaton posted $75,000 bond, was arrested for violating home arrest, and posted bond again, per the News.
