Indy's new Cold War adventure has infuriated St. Petersburg's Communist Party, the London Times reports. The angry apparatchiks say Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull's depiction of ruthless KGB spies who send terrorists to the US is pure propaganda intended to “slander Soviet Communists” and poison young Russians against  them.

They urged a boycott of the film and issued a warning to Harrison Ford and Cate Blanchett to stay away. “Your work in this film is an insult to the Soviet and Russian people," a statement  from the party's ideology committee says. "You have no future in Russia any more. You will be beaten and despised.” Indiana Jones' fourth adventure opened in Russia Thursday on a record-breaking number of screens.
