The full House is now poised to vote on the impeachment of President Trump. That's the next step after the Judiciary Committee approved two articles of impeachment Friday morning with party-line votes of 23-17. The full House is likely to impeach Trump along (mostly) party lines next week, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell just reiterated that it won't go anywhere in the Senate. "We all know how it’s going to end: There’s no chance the president’s gonna be removed from office," he told Sean Hannity on Fox News, per the Daily Beast. "My hope is that there won’t be a single Republican who votes for either of these articles of impeachment."

Trump, meanwhile, continued a familiar theme on Twitter Friday morning: "How do you get Impeached when you have done NOTHING wrong (a perfect call), have created the best economy in the history of our Country, rebuilt our Military, fixed the V.A. (Choice!), cut Taxes & Regs, protected your 2nd A, created Jobs, Jobs, Jobs, and soooo much more? Crazy!" (Read his reaction later in the day here.) Two articles of impeachment accuse Trump of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress over the Ukraine controversy, though no Republicans were swayed during two days of debate by the judiciary panel.
