Tuesday was a milestone day for Tesla as its factory in China delivered its first cars to customers. The $2 billion facility in Shanghai began producing Model 3 sedans a little under one year after opening, notes Reuters. The thing attracting most of the coverage, though? CEO Elon Musk's spontaneous dance before employees, government officials, and journalists. "Or, at least we think that’s what this was," notes Gizmodo. It was more like "dad-dancing," observes Business Insider.

Musk even took off his jacket and tossed it, later labeling his own tweeted video "NSFW." It was the "biggest surprise" of the ceremony, tweets Selina Wang of Bloomberg, adding that it might be part of Musk's calculated "charm offensive" in China. Tesla does indeed have serious plans to ramp up production, particularly of Model Y compact SUVs, in what the Wall Street Journal points out is the world's biggest auto market.
