One of the original Wiggles, Greg Page, is recovering in a Sydney hospital after collapsing during a show to raise money for groups fighting the Australian wildfires. The cause was cardiac arrest, the BBC reports. The children's band's Twitter account said Page, the band's original lead singer, had a procedure at the hospital after "a medical incident" offstage. Page retired from the group in 2006, citing health reasons, then returned briefly in 2012. He turned 48 on Thursday.
Page performed for 90 minutes before collapsing. The occasion was a sold-out reunion performance by the original members for an adults-only audience, per CNN. Page is the Yellow Wiggle, and the others Blue, Red and Purple. The Wiggles have sold tens of millions of CDs and DVDs since their founding in 1991. A new version of the Australian group, with new members, was created in 2013. (Tennis players are choking on smoke from the wildfires.)
