One topic that came up during Friday's debate: Hillary Clinton's pointed criticism of Bernie Sanders in a new documentary. "Nobody likes him," she said. But when Sen. Amy Klobuchar was asked if that was true, she smiled and said, "I like Bernie just fine" and talked about working with him on legislation, reports NPR. As she spoke, Biden walked over to Sanders and put his arm around him, notes the Washington Post.
Sanders, himself, meanwhile, chose not to engage Clinton. “As we face one of the great political crises facing America, out job is to look forward, not back,” he said. "I hope that Secretary Clinton and all of us can come together." One blip for Sanders, though: When Klobuchar was asked if Republicans could work with him, she said, "That I don't know," adding that the US needs "someone who has the receipts," meaning the ability to get things passed, like herself.
