Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler and Diane Keaton are finally reuniting on screen. The stars of the 1996 comedy classic The First Wives Club, in which they play former college friends who seek revenge on their exes after getting reacquainted at a funeral, will appear in a new comedy, Family Jewels. This time, they'll play ex-wives of the same man. When he dies, the three are forced to spend the holidays together with their families. "The chemistry of Diane, Bette, and Goldie is unmatched and irresistible, and I'm thrilled to help reunite them on screen for generations of fans," producer Bradley Fischer says, per Entertainment Weekly. "I, and the public, have waited many years for these three ladies to star in another film together," adds producer Alan Nevins, per Deadline.

Family Jewels, written by Peter Hoare, comes from New Republic Pictures and is expected to go into production this year. In 2015, the trio of actors were announced to star as members of a singing group who reunite years after a heated parting in the Netflix film Divanation. However, the film was later scrapped. "The script was flawed and no one was able to really fix it, and everybody decided to let it go," Hawn said in 2017, per Today. Marcia Gay Harden, who played a therapist who takes a beating from Keaton's character in The First Wives Club, commented on the acting trio last year, describing them as "legends." "I just remember Goldie being so funny—and kind of being in awe of the legends they were," she told People. All three are age 74. (More movies stories.)
