Schedule empties out; staffers told to tally expenses

With the final primaries a day away, the press corps is following a trail of breadcrumbs that may lead to a quick departure by Hillary Clinton. Campaign staffers were urged to turn in all outstanding expense receipts by week’s end, the Atlantic reports. And advance staffers were told they’d be notified if events materialized after a speech Wednesday morning, ABC News reports.

A rep seeking to stem the tide of speculation told reporters today, “I think it’s pretty clear that she is not conceding. I think it's pretty clear that she is staying in this race.” Meanwhile, Barack Obama was trying to lock up enough superdelegates before tomorrow night to claim victory after tomorrow's South Dakota and Montana primaries.
