Seen Nandi Bushell play the drums? Dave Grohl sure has, and he drummed right back. What Mashable calls "an adorable remote drum battle" began when the 10-year-old tweeted video of herself ripping into the Foo Fighters' hit song "Everlong" and saying, "Mr Grohl I would love to have a drum battle with you!" Her playing, stick-twirling, and shout of "Check! Mate!" at the end are surely worth the click. Grohl, who's not on Twitter, heard about the tweet and posted video of himself playing part of "Everlong" on the Foo's Twitter account.

"I've seen all your videos, I've seen you on TV. You’re an incredible drummer," he tells her, per NME. "I'm really flattered that you’ve picked some of my songs to do for your videos and you've done them all perfectly." He concludes by writing "Your move!!" and signs off as "Your friend in rock, Dave." Two other music figures have showered Nandi with praise: Metallica's Kirk Hammett for her cover of "Enter Sandman," and Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello for her cover of "Guerilla Radio." Way to go, Nandi! (More music stories.)
