Charlie Gibson, Katie Couric and Brian Williams will all be part of Barack Obama’s foreign trip that begins later this week, Howard Kurtz reveals in the Washington Post—as the Dem’s campaign impressively “draws the anchors halfway around the world by offering access.” The ABC, CBS and NBC anchors will interview the candidate on separate nights in different countries.

Obama’s trip “was already likely to dominate the news,” Kurtz allows, but “with Brian, Charlie and Katie along, it’s a slam dunk.” He also notes that while Obama “has been quite adept at working the media,” John McCain enjoyed the company of mere correspondents on his last Middle East voyage. And that was only ABC and NBC; CBS sent no one. (More Barack Obama stories.)
