(AP Photo/Keystone, Martial Trezzini) Mitsubishi is sending some of its new i MiEV electric cars for testing in California, Wired reports. The Japanese company has signed deals with two Golden State power companies to add a few of the nimble jellybean-shaped vehicles to their fleets for a three-year demonstration. The kicky little car can go 75 miles on a 10-hour charge from a standard 110-volt socket, and reach speeds of up to 82 mph. Designed for Japanese city driving, the i MiEV will go on sale in its home country for about $25,000 next summer. Mitsubishi previously signed deals with Japanese utility companies.
