Ohio Cop Charged With Killing Mother of His Child

The body of Jessie Davis, who had been missing for eight days, was found in an Akron park Saturday afternoon.  Bobbie L. Cutts, the father of her two year old and the father of an unborn child due in July who had contacted police just prior to the discovery, was immediately arrested and charged with two counts of murder.

The case became a national story when the media took up the cause of publicizing the search for Davis.  Volunteers from as far away as Texas came to the Ohio city of Canton to help with the search. (More crime stories.)
