Donald Trump said he has a detailed deal with Fox News to debate his Democratic opponent on Sept. 4, but Vice President Kamala Harris said Saturday that she's agreed to no such appearance. Per Reuters, Trump posted on Truth Social, "I have agreed with FoxNews to debate Kamala Harris on Wednesday, September 4th," Trump wrote. He noted that the rules of this supposed matchup would hew closely to the ones put in place for his previous debate with President Biden on CNN in late June, except this time with a "full arena audience." Fox News put a story up that doesn't dispute the details in Trump's announcement.

But Harris does. She said Saturday that she'll show up for the previously negotiated debate date of Sept. 10—originally a Biden-Trump matchup—whether her opponent does or not, per the Washington Post. "I hope to see him there," Harris posted on X. "I'll see her September 4th, or I won't see her at all," the Republican nominee posted. The Sept. 10 debate was to be hosted by ABC, which Trump has objected to; he maintains all bets are off now that BIden has dropped out. Trump had said late Friday that Harris had agreed to his reimagined debate, but the Post reports her campaign has held no negotiations with his staff or Fox.

Fox's story says two of its anchors, Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, will moderate. Trump said the debate will take place in Pennsylvania. Harris aides said they're willing to discuss more debates if Trump keeps his commitment to the previously scheduled ABC one. "He needs to stop playing games and show up to the debate he already committed to on Sept 10," Michael Tyler said. (More Donald Trump stories.)
